Application Case | JHCTECH assists Spanish fishing vessel central control
In the fishing equipment industry, the United States, Japan, Norway, Spain, Iceland, Denmark, and other countries have led the trend of fishing equipment technology. The development of fishing boat equipment is becoming increasingly large-scale, with supporting equipment becoming automated, intelligent, and specialized. Consequently, there is a growing demand for high-performance industrial controllers.
Customer application requirements
To complete the entire cycle of large-scale smart fishing vessels, including fishing, classification, freezing, and packaging, multiple industrial computers are required for different engine rooms and fishing gear to collect and transmit data. Additionally, a main controller is needed to connect with each sub-controller for data monitoring and display.
Due to the variety of fishing equipment on the boat, such as surveying and mapping tools, fish sounders, sonar, and others, data must be collected from these various devices and transmitted through the COM port. Furthermore, cartography, gyroscope heading, depth, and other parameters require high-precision GPS positioning. Customers from Spain made the following requirements for JHCTECH:
- Performance: Stable performance, high reliability, and the ability to operate long-term.
- I/O interface: 4-8 COM ports are used to connect various fishing gears for data transmission; 3 display interfaces are used to connect with the center console.
- Adaptation to the application environment: Given that fishing boats operate at sea for extended periods and are exposed to high humidity, the equipment needs to be durable and capable of withstanding year-round high-humidity conditions.
- High-precision GPS positioning helps fishing boats chart and determine course.
